Safe Saturday Halloween
The Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce, Des Plaines Park District, Des Plaines Historical Society, and the Des Plaines Public Library are joining together to create a full day of activities for you and your family so you can enjoy a safe and fun day for Halloween.
The festivities begin with a costumed parade, sponsored by the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce, Ace Hardware - Des Plaines and Horton Wellness & Chiropractic.
Parade will be led by "Jewels the Clown" and "Kiwi the Clown" at 10:00 a.m.

The Chamber will provide a trick or treat bag with fun prizes inside and then after the parade they will have a chance to "trick or treat"
at the chamber participating businesses throughout Des Plaines.
Additional free events for the day include:
Day of the Dead Festivities at the History Center. Drop in between 11:00 and 4:00 to see the special decorations, decorate your very own Mexican sugar skull and drink hot chocolate.
Crafts at the Des Plaines Public Library from 1:00 to 3:00 - Sponsored by the Park District.
Magic & Illusion of Paul Lee & Co. sponsored by the Des Plaines Public Library beginning at 3:00 pm.
