DESCRIPTION:The Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce\, Des Plaines Park District\, Des Plaines Historical Society\, and the Des Plaines Public Library are joining together to create a full day of activities for you and your family so you can enjoy a safe and fun day for Halloween.\n\n	  \n\n	The festivities begin with a costumed parade\, sponsored by the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce\, Ace Hardware - Des Plaines and Horton Wellness & Chiropractic.\n\n	Parade will be led by "Jewels the Clown" and "Kiwi the Clown" at 10:00 a.m. \n\n	 \n\n	 \n\n	The Chamber will provide a trick or treat bag with fun prizes inside and then after the parade they will have a chance to "trick or treat"\n\n	at the chamber participating businesses throughout Des Plaines.\n\n	 \n\n	Additional free events for the day include:\n\n	Day of the Dead Festivities at the History Center. Drop in between 11:00 and 4:00 to see the special decorations\, decorate your very own Mexican sugar skull and drink hot chocolate.\n\n	 Crafts at the Des Plaines Public Library from 1:00 to 3:00 - Sponsored by the Park District.\n\n	Magic & Illusion  of Paul Lee & Co. sponsored by the Des Plaines Public Library beginning at 3:00 pm.
