Market your Open Positions to the community
at the 6th Annual- Back to Work Career Fair
" FALL INTO A NEW CAREER", Brought to You by Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry Foundation 

The Career Fair will begin with a VETERAN private reception, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and career fair from throughout the region and special invitations to all the Veterans who applied to our Veterans Back to Work Boot Camp including the 20 Veterans from this year's Class. 

Resumes will be collected at the door and copies will be scanned and emailed to you the next day. For those attending without resumes we will have an application that they must fill out in order to enter the fair.  All information collected will be shared with attending employers & sponsors.   Our hopes are to help you find that next great employee and fill your open positions you may have. 

We will be advertising the career fair all over social media, in print, local cable access channels, billboards, through geo fencing and targeting- on line ads, Veterans organizations, IDES, local & state elected officials, our partners Oakton and Harper Community College students as well as the local high school district, and many more other regional community groups.    

*Please read the important information below a regarding set-up and other information for the event.  
1:00-3:00 p.m. –Career Fair Table set-up location: 4th Floor * At 3:00 p.m. we will be hosting a Private Welcome Reception for you and our Veteran Attendees and we will open to the public at 4 p.m.
All tables must be set up by 2:45 P.M.
Each company will get a 5-6 ft. table and two chairs, two generic name tags with your company name. Please bring tablecloth and/or promotional items that will fit on the table space, including pop up signs (space will be limited so any signage should go on your table top or directly behind the table not to the side). Sponsor tables are reserved. All other tables will be assigned on a first come basis.  Please bring plenty of employment applications and any additional items that will attract candidates to your table. 
We will be hosting a Welcome Reception for you and all Veteran attendees and open the doors early for them. Representatives from the local Veteran Business Leaders and some of our recent graduates of our “Back to Work Boot Camp”.  Light beverages and snacks will be provided and will be provided in a private room and throughout the fair
2:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. A meeting space will be available for semi private interviews should the need arise.
The Career Fair will be open to the general public from 4:00 p.m.-6:00p.m.  At registration we will be collecting resumes. Any attendee without a resume will be given a blank form to complete. 
The parking structure is a building attached to the south wall of the library and has free parking in marked areas. BUT it is limited to 3 hours DURING work hours 9am-5pm. After 5pm there are no restrictions. At a later date, parking instructions will be provided.  

Please avoid parking directly in front of businesses and, we highly recommend car- pooling so we have spots for attendees.

* Career Fair located will be located in a new location in the building on the 4th floor in their beautiful terrace section.  In this new location private interviewing rooms will also be available on a 1st Come 1st serve basic for all employers.  
*The library entrance is right across the street from the Metra Station.
*Free Ample Garage Parking.
*Semi-Private Interview Space Available

$500 - Sponsorship Tables with preferred location and your logo will be included in all marketing materials and in show promotions that you will be attending, we will also advertise your open positions prior to the show in our social media posts etc. 
* Employer registration & sponsorship fees will go towards additional marketing & advertising outreach efforts for the career fair.
