Safe Saturday Halloween

The Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce, Des Plaines Park District, Des Plaines History Center, and the Des Plaines Public Library are joining together to create a full day of activities for you and your family so you can enjoy a safe and fun day for Halloween.
The festivities begin with a costumed parade. Parade will be led by "Jewels the Clown" beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The Chamber will provide a trick or treat bag with a fun prize inside and then after the parade they will have a chance to "trick or treat"at the chamber participating businesses throughout Des Plaines who displays a large Orange Poster.
Other Family activities are planned for the day as follows:
Day of the Dead - 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The annual Dia de los Muertos sugar skull painting at the
History Center, 781 Pearson
$3.00/child for non-members, $2.00 for members.
Ages 5-12. Children must be accompanied by adult.
Pumpkin Races
on Pearson Street at the History Center, sponsored by the Optimist Club.
Free Crafts for Kids
1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Des Plaines Public Library
Drop-in to make a slightly scary craft and celebrate Halloween Sponsored by the Des Plaines Park District
