Event Description:
The Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce, Des Plaines Park District, Des Plaines Historical Society, and the Des Plaines Public Library are joining together to create a full day of activities for you and your family so you can enjoy a safe and fun day for Halloween.
The festivities begin with a costumed parade, Parade will be led by "Jewels the Clown" beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The Chamber will provide a trick or treat bag with fun prizes inside and then after the parade they will have a chance to "trick or treat"
at the chamber participating businesses throughout Des Plaines.
Other Family activities are planned for the day as follows:
Day of the Dead - 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The annual Dia de los Muertos sugar skull painting at the History Center, 781 Pearson
$3.00 for non-members, $2.00 for members.
Halloween Hoopla Drop-In Craft -
1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Des Plaines Public Library - Free
Drop-in to make a slightly scary craft and celebrate Halloween - Sponsored by the Des Plaines Park District
Magic Matt's Spooky-Fun Magic Show

Everyone will enjoy magically illustrated stories and spooky balloon creatures.
