DESCRIPTION:Market your Open Positions to the community\n\nAt the 9th Annual- Back to Work Career Fair\n\n" FALL INTO A NEW CAREER"\, brought to you by the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce & Industry Foundation \n\n\n\nThe Career Fair will begin with a VETERAN private reception and career fair from throughout the community and special invitations to the over 120 Veterans that applied to our Veterans Back to Work Boot Camp including the Veterans from this year's "Back To Work Boot camp Class" and the over 120 Veterans who applied to be a part of the program. From 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.  we will open our doors to the rest of the Community looking to get back to work or transition to a new career.\n\n\n\n* As an added incentive to job seekers we will giving- away (2) Laptop computers with Microsoft office and other gifts in a random drawing that evening to those attendees that pre-registered and came out to the Career Fair.  \n\n\n\nResumes will be collected at the door and copies will be scanned and emailed to you the next day on all the people that attended.  Our hopes are to help you find that next great employee and fill your open positions you may have. \n\n\n\nWe will be advertising the career fair all over social media\,  in print\,  local cable access channels\, billboards\, through GO targeting- on line ads\, Veterans organizations\, IDES\, local & state elected officials\, our partners Oakton and Harper Community College students as well as the local high school district\, and many more other regional community groups .    \n\n\n\n\n\n*Please read the important information below a regarding set-up and other information for the event.  \n\nSET-UP\, WELCOME RECEPTION \n\n1:00-2:45 p.m.  Career Fair Table set-up location: MEETING ROOM B & C. * At 3:00 p.m. we will be hosting a Private Welcome Reception for you and our Veteran Attendees and we will open to the public at 4 p.m. \n\nAll tables must be set up by 2:45 p.m.\n\n \n\nSET  UP INFORMATION:\n\nEach company will get a 5-6 ft. table and two chairs\, two generic name tags with your company name. Please bring table cloth and/or promotional items that will fit on the table space\, including pop up signs (space will be limited so any signage should go on your table top or directly behind the table not to the side). Sponsor tables are reserved. All other tables will be assigned on a first come basis.  Please bring plenty of employment applications and any additional items that will attract candidates to your table. \n\n \n\nWe will be hosting a Welcome Reception for you and all Veteran attendees and open the doors early for them. Representatives from  the local Veteran Business Leaders and  some of our recent graduates of our "Back to Work Boot Camp"  Light beverages and snacks will be provided and will be provided in a private room and throughout the fair\n\n \n\n2:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. MEETING ROOM A : Will be available for semi private interviews should the need arise.\n\n  \n\nCAREER SHOW INFO: \n\nThe Career Fair will be open to the  general public from 4 p.m.-6:30p.m.  At registration we will be collecting resumes. Any attendee without a resume will be given a blank form to complete. \n\n \n\nPARKING\n\nThe parking structure is a building attached to the south wall of the library and has free parking in marked areas. The Des Plaines Police have be informed about the Fair and will not ticket this 90 minute area.  Please avoid parking directly in front of business and we highly recommend ride sharing so we have spots for attendees.
